Mc Fava

He's a real punk guy, making music in various bands since 1994. A singer and guitar player in a ska-punk band called ´No Authority´ (skapunk.de). In 2011, the band had it´s 15 years anniversary and is the most popular in the Swiss scene (Label: Leech Records Zürich) and in the south of Germany where he play's about 30 gigs a year. Mc Fava's first contact with Jungle music was in 1996, when the Jungle Slams at Crash (Freiburg) and events at MS Connexion (Mannheim) influencing him a lot.

Although being a singer in bands for a long time, he first started Drum'n'Bass-MC'ing in 2000. In the beginning he didn´t like MC´s – Fava just wanted to enjoy the music – but as soon as he first grabbed the MIC, things changed. Nowadays he thinks MC´s are pretty important for Drum ´n Bass parties – but they should know when and how to support the set of a DJ and should be aware of the fact that sometimes it´s better to shut up and let the music speak for itself. He met Tao & Spitfire at Universal D.O.G. (Lahr) at a small Drum'n'Bass party and from this time they hung around more and more together. At that point the Breakbeat Movement started to grow.
